No matter the genre, The Write Steps, can take you step by step in writing and publishing your work. Let us take you on the path to successful publishing. Our workshop is geared for the local writers in mind and uses low cost methods to get your work published.

Topics to discuss:

Pick a Genre - Know whom you want to gear your book to.

Finishing Touches - Editing (it's not a friends or family thing)

Packaging Up - Not only picking the right source to print your work, but how to do it right. What you need (ISBN/EAN, copyright), the cover, inside the book (table of contents? order pages), and how to go about getting a finished book (depending on size).

Marketing - Bookmarks, postcards, marketing planning, and budgeting. Also touches on Internet set up, including getting the book on Amazon.com.

Promotions - Press Releases & follow-ups, spamming (don't do it), obtaining local publicity.

Everything Else - other tips and tricks to get it all together, accounting, assistance, associations.



Seminar Cost: $25
(scholarships are available for persons under 18)
Cost of workshop includes POD & Internet marketing workbook and resource disk.
Seminar will also include refreshments.
